Harvest Haul: A New Way to Buy Local Food in Cranbrook & Kimberley!
Looking for an easier way to get more locally grown and produced food into your home and onto your table?
Harvest Haul is a new three-month pilot project from Community Connections Society of Southeast BC, bringing food from regional farmers, ranchers and producers together into convenient monthly food boxes.
The pilot is designed to explore ways of making local food easier to access while supporting regional producers and keeping more food dollars within our region. And because this is a pilot, participating and sharing feedback will also help shape what Harvest Haul — and other local food programs — could look like in the future.
What can you order?
Harvest Haul offers three types of boxes:
🥕 Produce Box: A selection of fresh, seasonal vegetables from regional farmers (approximately two bags).
🥩 Butcher Box: Local meat products from ranchers in the region (approximately 15 lbs).
🍯 Grocery Box: A curated selection of locally produced food staples, which may include flour, oats, dry beans, honey, preserves, frozen prepared meals and other local and staple grocery products (approximately 1–2 bags).
Products will change each month depending on the season and supplier availability.

Pick-up is at 703 Cranbrook St N, Cranbrook.
PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to order for the October 7 pick-up is September 28.
How does it work?
Order and pay for your box online before the monthly deadline, pick it up at the scheduled time and location, and then share your feedback about the experience.
That last step is important: Harvest Haul is a three-month pilot, and orders and feedback from participants will help CCS learn what works and guide future programming.
