Spring may still be finding its footing, but across Kimberley and Cranbrook, the 2026 growing season is fast approaching — with two upcoming Seedy Saturday events bringing gardeners, seed savers, and curious newcomers together.
Whether you’re planting your very first container garden or mapping out a full backyard overhaul, Seedy Saturday is about gathering, sharing, and getting inspired for the growing season ahead!
🌱 Cranbrook Seedy Saturday - Feb 14th (10am - 3pm)

Cranbrook’s Seedy Saturday on February 14th (at the Cranbrook Public Library) marks the official opening of the 2026 Cranbrook Seed Library and features a community seed exchange, gardening information, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow growers.
Expect locally harvested and donated seeds, displays on composting and seed saving, and a welcoming space to swap stories and tips with neighbours who love growing and sharing locally.

Kimberley’s Seedy Saturday continues the local momentum a few weeks later with a free, family-friendly seed exchange focused on seed saving, environmentally responsible gardening practices, and learning what grows best in our high-altitude community.
