About the event
It’s time to celebrate another season of growing, harvesting and working together!
This year’s Harvest Party & Apple Press Social brings together several organizations from across the Kimberley Cranbrook Food Network for a collaborative afternoon at the Kimberley Edible Gardens & Greenhouse (KEGG) garden location at McDougall Park in Kimberley — sharing food, skills, equipment, local harvests and, of course, plenty of apples.
The gathering is supported by KCFN’s Live For Local initiative, which supports opportunities for people to connect with local food and with the organizations, growers and volunteers helping strengthen our local food system (which we talked more about in our September newsletter).
Healthy Kimberley Food Recovery Depot will be providing a spread of food and refreshments for the afternoon, alongside plenty of time to visit with other community members (on a hopefully nice early October day)… and then, of course, there are all the apples!
